Alaska Advisory Committee Virtual Briefing on Ranked Choice Voting - Panel IV

The Alaska Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is hosting a series of virtual public briefings to hear testimony from various stakeholders on the Committee’s chosen topic on Ranked Choice Voting and Equal Access to Electoral Process in Alaska. The Committee intends to provide the Commission with their findings and recommendations on this topic. The details for the briefings in this series are as follows (subject to revision):

Members of the public will be invited to participate during an open comment period towards the end of each briefing. If members of the public are interested in providing comment at the briefing, they may sign-up here. Written comments on the issue may also be submitted here and should be submitted within 30 days of each briefing.

Committee Chair Carole Holley said, "The testimony we receive in these briefings will inform our understanding of ranked choice voting and election administration in Alaska. It will broaden our understanding of how different populations understand and interact with our current election procedures and whether or not there are disparate impacts. We invite interested members of the public to attend and share their perspectives during the public comment session."
