The South Carolina Advisory Committee Virtual Briefings on Occupational Licensing - Panel II

The South Carolina Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights will begin a series of virtual public briefings focusing on Economic Liberty and Workforce Access Perspectives as part of their recently launched study on occupational licensing and civil rights. The briefings will include testimony from diverse experts on this topic.

Committee Chair Jonathan Butcher said, “The Committee has decided to begin this study by obtaining a high-level understanding of occupational licensing – how it functions and what the potential areas for improvement might be. We look forward to hearing from the subject matter experts who will be participating. We invite interested members of the public to attend and share their perspectives during the public comment session."

Members of the public will be invited to participate during an open comment period at the end of each briefing. Written comments on the topic may be submitted via https://wkf.ms/4g2BCeD.
