The Georgia Advisory Committee (Committee) to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission) will convene a series of public, web-based briefings to discuss the School-to-Prison Pipeline in Georgia. The Committee invites testimony regarding factors impacting a school-to-prison pipeline for certain student populations in underserved communities in Georgia with the intention of identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations in a report to the Commission after all testimony has been received.
Chair Wenyuan Wu said, “The Georgia Advisory Committee is eager to begin hearing testimony regarding the school-to-prison pipeline in Georgia. We welcome input from all who might be able to share their expertise with us.”
