Current Status
The Committee is awaiting the Commission to appoint members to serve. Under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, the Commission must appoint members that reflect a diversity of viewpoints and opinions about civil rights, and recruit potential members from a broad cross-section of political, professional, and educational backgrounds. We strongly encourage individuals with a demonstrated interest and experience in civil rights and a record of working constructively in a bipartisan setting to apply for membership.
