The Use of AI in Law Enforcement in Illinois

In February 2026, the Committee approved a project proposal to study the Use of AI in Law Enforcement. The Committee is interested in hearing from different perspectives on the topic including perspectives on Constitutional rights, enforcement of relevant civil rights laws, artificial intelligence surveillance, potential solutions or alternatives, and the impacts on individuals.
