FDIC provides insurance coverage for commercial and mutual bank deposits and serves as the Federal regulator of insured State banks that are not members of the Federal Reserve System. The Division receives and investigates civil rights complaints related to all aspects of banking and credit. In addition, it conducts studies, public education programs, and training and technical assistance programs.
